2008 Penticton Festivals and Events

There's lots happening in Penticton! From April through September there are festivals or events that cater to young, old... and everyone in between. A word to the wise: Penticton's festivals & events are very popular and if you're planning to take one in, book your accommodations early.

 

Where possible, we've linked the event to their web site. For infomation on events not shown go to the Penticton Visitors Centre. We will be updating this page and adding events as they are finalized for this year and the information becomes available.

Okanagan Fest of Ale 2008 (13th Annual)

The 2008 event is a tribute to the fast growing micro-brewing industry. On display will be some of the best Pacific Northwest handcrafted ales with events and tastings. Okanagan Spring Wine Festival 2008 (15th Annual)

May 1 - 4, 2008; Various times; Venues throughout Valley

Bacchanalia - Spring Wine Festival 2008

May 3, 2008; 7:00pm to 10:00pm; Penticton Lakeside Grand Ballroom; $60.00 per person

Rotary Fishing Derby 2008 (5th Annual)

June 14 - 15, 2008; Starts 6:00am ; Skaha Lake & other Lakes in the Area

NO FISHING LICENCE REQUIRED THIS WEEKEND. There is no restriction in what lake within a 100km. of Penticton you catch your fish: Skaha Lake, Osprey Lake, Chain Lake or any other in the area. Hidden weight prizes; Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd; lots of other prizes. Food and refreshment garden.

 

Peach City Beach Cruise 2008 (8th Annual)

One of the top 100 events in North America. Our biggest events are the Consumer Tastings at the Trade and Convention Centre Oct 10 & 11, 2008.
